The Kiwis will once again invade Bathurst, as an addition to the always popular Touring Car Masters Series.

By DAN McCARTHY

A healthy contingent of New Zealand-based competitors are returning to The Mountain in 2019 and will join the Touring Car Masters Series at its next round supporting the Bathurst 1000, October 10-13.

Kiwi competitors have previously raced door-to-door against the leading TCM drivers. The Central Muscle Car Series visited Mount Panorama in 2016 and finished 1-2-3 in the reverse grid race, with Glenn Seton taking the other two race wins over the course that weekend.

That could be a good omen for second-generation racer Aaron Seton, who is on a hot streak of form heading to Bathurst after taking his maiden round win at Queensland Raceway and placing second last weekend at Sydney Master Blast.

The 16 NZ based entries will add to the already 36-strong TCM field.

Heading to next round Steven Johnson leads the series over John Bowe and a hard-charging Ryal Harris.
