Garry Rogers Motorsport and Jimmy Vernon have elected to part ways effective immediately.

A statement released by Vernon’s management team confirmed that the  2017 Toyota 86 Series Champion would not return to the TCR squad after sitting out the last round at Queensland Raceway to make room for Jordan Cox.

The statement read: “Due to a mutual agreement between Garry Rogers Motorsport and Jimmy Vernon’s management team, the two will cease their partnership.”

“This opportunity gives Vernon the chance to concentrate on developing a new deal for participating in the TCR Championship in 2020.”

“Jimmy would like to thank everyone who was involved in the 2019 campaign and is looking forward to fighting for success in the future.”

GRM is yet to confirm who will replace Vernon in the #7 Alfa Romeo entry for the next round of the TCR Australia Series at Winton Raceway on August 30-September 1.
