Jean-Eric Vergne has mastered Monaco to become the first repeat winner in the ninth round of the 2018/19 Formula E season.

The DS Techeetah driver led the race from pole position after the fastest qualifier Oliver Rowland (Nissan e.dams) had his penalty applied for his role in the carnage at the previous round in Paris.

Rowland would recover from his penalty to challenge Vergne for the win in what turned out to thrilling four-way fight for the lead in the closing laps of the race with Felipe Massa (Venturi) and Pascal Wehrlein (Mahindra).

Formula E will head to Berlin, Germany for the tenth round on May 25
