THE AUSTRALIAN TCR Series is starting to take shape with half a dozen drivers and manufacturers now entered in the series.

Last week Jason Bright confirmed his entry in the series having secured two Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR cars while visiting the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia a couple of weeks ago.

The former HRT driver purchasing the winning car from the opening round of the TCR Asia Championship.

The 1998 Bathurst 1000 winner’s Team Tradie Golf TCR car is now on its way to Australian shores after being loaded into shipping crates.

Bright will drive the car in the inaugural TCR Australia round at Sydney Motorsport Park from May 17-19 as part of the Shannons Nationals program.
