The covers have come off the first Honda-powered Red Bull, the RB15 for the 2019 Formula 1 season.

Aston Martin Red Bull Racing revealed the new car in what has been labelled as a one-off livery, sticking with the team’s tendency to run special testing liveries.

The Milton Keynes based squad joined Mercedes at Silverstone overnight to not only showcase their new cars for the 2019 Formula 1 World Championship, but also shakedown their new equipment ahead of preseason testing in Barcelona next week.

Max Verstappen took sole responsibility for the driving duties at today’s shakedown with new teammate Pierre Gasly watching on from the garage.

“The day’s done, the first few kilometres with the car.” said Verstappen

“After my first run I was smiling, very happy with how the car was behaving – plus the engine as well, very positive.”

Official F1 preseason testing will commence February 18 at Barcelona’s Circuit de Catalunya.
