Mobil and X-Convenience will support Nick Percat’s No. 8 Brad Jones Racing Commodore at the inaugural Tailem Bend Supercar event in less than 3 weeks’ time.

The brands return as a major partner for the team after providing minor support at the season-opening Adelaide 500.

“X-Convenience in conjunction with Mobil are excited for South Australians and wanted to get behind the local events by supporting one of their own – Nick Percat. Brad Jones Racing have teamed up with X-Convenience, to be a part of this iconic event in Tailem Bend. We believe this inaugural event, will be a great boost for the local economy and South Australia.” said a representative of X-Convenienceread in a statement released by the team.

Brad Jones, who raced in Mobil colours during his career as a driver is looking forward to seeing the brand on one of his cars again.

“I’ve raced in the Mobil colors before, when I was Peter Brock’s team-mate in 1989. Mobil are such a highly-regarded brand and have a long association with motorsport. X-Convenience and Mobil supported us for the Adelaide 500 event and this is a great extension of our valued relationship.” said Jones.

Nick Percat, a South Australian local, is also looking forward to the tackling the new facility.

“We’ve had the Mobil X-Convenience Supercar in the pipeline for some time, so it is fantastic to finally show a preview of my Supercar with the X-Convenience branding and iconic Mobil colours. I know fans will get a kick out of seeing this car on track, and considering the history of the brands, it is very cool for me too.” said Percat.

“I’ve visited The Bend Motorsport Park a couple of times now for the official launch and various media appearances; there is no doubt it is going to be a fantastic event with some very close, exciting racing. Everyone is really looking forward to it!”

“South Australians love their motorsport and many people will be travelling across from all over to watch us at this inaugural Supercars event. Hopefully, they get to drop by one of the 18 X-Convenience locations whilst they’re in the state!” Percat added.

The X-Convenience Mobil Racing Supercar is set to be on track at Winton Motor Raceway next Tuesday for the team’s second test day of the season, before making its way across to South Australia for the first ever Supercars event at The Bend Motorsport Park.
