Scott McLaughlin left everyone in his wake to take Pole for Race 10.

Scott McLaughlin has done it again and will start today’s Race 10 on Pole, but this time ahead of David Reynolds as Triple Eight’s trio of cars struggled.

McLaughlin set a time of 1m 29.8526s to pip the Erebus driver by 0.4014s.

Reynolds failed to fire in yesterday’s session but confirmed Erebus Motorsport’s speed by placing his ZB Commodore on the outside of the front-row. Fabian Coulthard just missed out on replicating yesterday’s form before his penalty, placing third ahead of lead Nissan Rick Kelly, who was backed up by his teammate Michael Caruso in sixth.

Jamie Whincup was the lead Triple Eight car, sandwiched by the Nissan’s in fifth. James Courtney put behind his lack of race pace in yesterday’s event to set the seventh fastest time ahead of the impressive Anton De Pasquale, Shane van Gisbergen and Mark Winterbottom was the lead Tickford racing falcon in 10th.

Nick Percat was hampered by problems with his front splitter and finished the session last.

The final Supercars race of the weekend starts at 1:50pm with a duration of 57-laps.
