CALAN WILLIAMS CONFIRMS EUROFORMULA DRIVE WITH FORTEC MOTORSPORTS

Calan Williams has confirmed that he will compete in the F3 Euroformula Winter Series with Fortec Motorsports.

The young Australian will base himself in the UK near the Fortec team headquarters in Daventry from February for the Winter Series which commences with a two-day test at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in Spain on the 15th and 16th.

Williams’ first international race meeting will be held shortly after when the series heads to the Circuit Paul Ricard in France.

The Winter Series then completes with another two-day official test at Jerez back in Spain.

All Euroformula Open teams will take part in the Winter Series, and Williams’ will be joined at Fortec by Romanian driver Petru Florescu and American Yves Baltas.

Alongside his racing commitments, the Australian will also spend time at Fortec Motorsports for training and simulator commitments.

“I am so excited about commencing my Formula 3 program in Europe, and I can’t thank Mick Kouros and Fortec enough for the incredible opportunity that they have provided me”, said Williams.

“This is an amazing step forward in the huge transition between racing in Australia and stepping up to competing on the international stage in Europe, and I intend to take this opportunity with both hands and show everyone what I can do.”

“I am also very aware of how well Errol Gilmour, the team at Gilmour Racing and all at Australian Formula 3 have prepared me to make this step.”
