Brad Jones Racing’s Nick Percat and Macauley Jones have received a Boost ahead of the Bathurst 1000.

Boost Mobile are the latest title sponsor on board the No. 8 BJR Commodore with the car to be dressed in striking silver and metallic orange livery in a similar design to that of the No. 22 Walkinshaw Commodore for Mt Panorama.

Percat, who won the great race in 2011, the first rookie to achieve that feat since Jacky Ickx in 1977, is looking forward to running the new Boost Mobile livery.

“Boost Mobile are already a familiar face in the world of Supercars. With Bathurst being the biggest event of the year it’s the perfect opportunity for Boost Mobile to showcase their brand even further with the fast-paced Supercars audience. Plus, we’ve got support again from some familiar names you’ve seen on Car No. 8 this year, including Clipsal, which is fantastic.” said Percat.

“It’s an exciting time for the team at Boost Mobile because you’ll see JC (James Courtney) in his Boost Mobile livery, and ours! Even though we’re competing against each other, I know we both want to be on top of the podium.”

“Our fans are always eager to see what we come up with next, and I think everyone will be pretty excited to see this metallic Boost Mobile Commodore on track. Another show-stopping addition to the Car 8 liveries of 2017!”

“Bathurst is every drivers’ favourite track. Anyone that knows Brad Jones and this team, knows that a Bathurst win would mean absolutely everything. Everyone there works incredibly hard, and after the tough year they have had, it would be fantastic to get the Boost Mobile Commodore on the podium and spray some champagne.”

For co-driver Macauley Jones, who turns 23 on race day, it’ll be his third Bathurst 1000 campaign.

“Boost Mobile is excited to be supporting Brad Jones Racing for this years’ Bathurst 1000 being the pinnacle of Australian Motorsport. Brad and our Founder Peter Adderton go way back to when Peter was a partner in the Audi race team, so it will be great to reunite at the Mountain this year.” said Jason Haynes, General Manager of Boost Australia.

“Boost Mobile is proud to support drivers Nick Percat and Macauley Jones for Bathurst and we welcome Macauley to our ambassador program for the remainder of the 2017 season. We wish both Nick and Macauley the best of luck for the great race.”

“While it’s a little unorthodox having 2 different teams with 2 different cars we felt it provided the opportunity to extend our reach and the awareness of Boost Mobile to enable us to engage more with motorsport fans. Like BJR, we believe we have a great product, great coverage, great network and plenty of data which in racing terms may align with elbows out, fast speed and more horsepower!”
