Mobil 1 HSV Racing have confirmed that they will keep their 1994 HRT/Peter Brock inspired livery on the car of Scott Pye and Warren Luff for the remainder of the Pirtek Enduro Cup.

One of the most popular retro liveries amongst the fans at Sandown, the team will continue to run it at both the Bathurst 1000 and the Coast Coast 600.

General Manager of Motorsport, Mathew Nilsson, said the entire team was thrilled with the reception from the fans.

“Anytime you run a Peter Brock inspired car, it’s going to generate a lot of emotion and interest, but the positivity of this livery was incredible,” Nilsson said.

“From the social media comments, to people coming up telling us how much they loved it at the track, it’s great to see people so happy about it.

“The car looks fantastic standing still and on the track, and it’s something most can relate to, so keeping it on the car was an easy decision in the end. It’s also great to continue to celebrate the 24-year partnership we’ve had with Mobil.”

Not only will the livery stay, but Pye and Luff will continue to run No. 02 on the car, paying homage to Brock’s famous No. 05.

Walkinshaw have been the second team to confirmed they will retain their retro livery beyond Sandown, with Garry Rogers Motorsport also confirming that it will continue to run both it’s cars in retro trim at Bathurst recently.
