LAMBORGHINI UNVEILS HURACAN SUPER TROFEO EVO
Lamborghini has unveiled its new Huracán Super Trofeo EVO, which will debut in three of its single-make series (America, Europe and Asia) in 2018.
The Super Trofeo series, as raced by Australians Ben Gersekowski, Morgan Haber, Spike Goddard, will feature the new upgraded Lamborghini Huracán LP 620-2 that features significant aero and bodywork updates, including a LMP1/F1 style fin, which were created with the assistance of Dallara.
The aero upgrades have resulted in an much faster car, that still retains its naturally aspirated 5.2-litre V10 engine, with the EVO 1.5 seconds quicker than the previous-generation race car in a lap around Monza.
Additionally, the new car will offer additional safety features, including the roof hatch developed for the Huracán GT3.
“Our customers are the main reason we continue in our pursuit of excellence and ongoing improvement,” said Giorgio Sanna, Head of Motorsport at Lamborghini.
“This is why we kept the practical demands of the team and of the drivers in mind when we were designing the new Huracán Super Trofeo EVO.
“As it is a single-brand series, there are no regulatory demands that mean a successful model has to be altered.
“But with the EVO we wanted to give our customers an even more thrilling experience at the wheel, with superior performance and improved safety.”
