MICK SCHUMACHER BENETTON F1 DEMO AT SPA
Michael Schumacher’s son Mick Schumacher will drive one his Benetton Formula 1 car at this weekend’s Belgian Grand Prix to commemorate 25 years since his father’s first grand prix win.
Schumacher Jr, who currently competes in the FIA European Formula 3 Championship, will conduct the demonstration laps in a 1994 specification Benetton at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit after being unable to obtain the 1992 car due to mechanical and insurance issues.
Michael Schumacher won 91 races during his Formula 1 career, earning seven World Championships in the process. His first win at Spa-Francorchamps came just one year after he made his Formula 1 debut at Jordan at the same venue.
Mick Schumacher is currently 11th in the FIA Formula 3 European Championship, and scored his first podium finish in the series at Monza in April after graduating from F4.
