The Australian Production Cars Series will head to Queensland Raceway this weekend, as part of the Shannons Nationals, for their annual Fight In The Night race.

Fresh off the back of last weekends Supercars round, Chaz Mostert and Todd Hazelwood, will again join the Australian Production Cars for the fourth round of the series.

Mostert will again team up with Nathan Morcom in their Ford Focus RS. The Winton race winners, still sit in second on the series points table, even after missing the last round at Sydney Motorsport with other racing commitments up in Townsville.

Hazelwood will also return to the series after an impressive debut at the season opening Bathurst 6 Hour earlier in the year. He’ll be back behind the wheel of the BMW 130i that he hustled around Mt Panorama over the Easter long weekend. This time partnering with Scott Turner.

They aren’t the only drivers with recent Queensland Raceway track time. Formula 4 drivers Ryan Suhle (BM Racing BMW 130i) and Tyler Everingham (Osborne Motorsport Renault Megane RS265 Trophy) will also part of the APCS field, with Suhle making his debut in the series this weekend.

V8 Touring Car series racer, Jim Pollicina returns to the series, swapping the Mitsubishi Evo he raced at the Bathurst 6 Hour for a BMW E92 M3 that he’ll share with Gerry Murphy.

Jonathan Bloxsom is also expected to return to the for his second start in the APCS, behind the wheel of the BestJet Holden HSV Clubsport, after his V8 Utes debut last weekend.

Another headline to follow will be the the return of the 2016 series champion, Beric Lynton, who will be back behind the wheel of his BMW 1M, with the assistance of Tim Leahy, for the first time since the 6 hour.

26 cars will take to Queensland Raceway on Friday for practice, before qualifying and the 300km Fight In The Night on Saturday. Before closing out Sunday’s running with their second 300km race for the weekend.
