DANIEL RICCIARDO FASTEST IN HUNGARY

Daniel Ricciardo set the pace in both of Friday’s practice sessions at the Hungarian Grand Prix.
Ricciardo took advantage of several new development parts on his Red Bull to notch up the fastest lap, beating out the Ferrari’s and Mercedes in both sessions.
Practice wasn’t without issues, the first session was interrupted when Haas reserve driver Antonio Giovanazzi crashed Kevin Magnussen’s car. Heavily damaging it in the process. The car was able to be repaired to allow Magnussen to get some track time towards the end of the second session.
Jolyon Palmer crashed his Renault in the second practice session, causing a red flag, in what appeared to be a qualifying simulation run.
Pascal Wehrlein then had a similar incident to Giovanazzi in his Sauber, further delaying the second session.
