AUSSIE SPRINTCAR STAR MAX JOHNSTON TO MAKE NASCAR TRUCK DEBUT
Max Johnston will make his NASCAR Truck Series debut in the Eldora Dirt Derby next week after securing backing from Brandt.
The 23 year old Australian Sprintcar star has spent the last two years working on gaining a start in the NASCAR feeder series, will join the likes of Marcos Ambrose when he jumps behind the wheel of his Young Motorsports prepared Chevy Silverado on July 19th.
“I’m humbled at the opportunity to race in one of NASCAR’s top tier series with BRANDT Professional Agriculture and Young’s Motorsports.” said Johnston.
“Hard work and never giving up is something I live by and I want to apply that as I make my NASCAR debut,” he continued.
The Eldora Dirt Derby is a unique event on the NASCAR Truck Series calendar, being the only dirt track event in any of the top three national series schedules. Proving to be a fan favourite since its addition in 2013.
“We are excited to put Max behind the wheel for his NASCAR Truck Series debut as a representative of BRANDT both here and in Australia,” said Rick Brandt, President & CEO of BRANDT.
“The Eldora Speedway race is one of a kind and we look forward to seeing Max’s skills on the dirt track.”
We’ll track Max Johnston progress in an upcoming International Wrap and have more details in the next issue of Auto Action Magazine. In the mean time make sure you follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for all the latest updates.
