Matt Campbell has posted a stunning lights to flag victory in round three, race four of the Porsche Supercup Championship held as support the the Austrian Grand Prix in Spielberg, Austria.

Starting from pole position the 22 year old Australian dominated the race after executing a perfect start to head the field into turn one.

For the first few laps the 2nd placed drivers, Mattia Drudi and 3rd placed Michael Ammermueller fought it out allowing Campbell to pile on the pressure with a series of fast laps.

Campbell was very strong in the middle sector and t the end of the 10th lap he had pushed out to a 1.9 second margin.

However on lap 13 a safety car was called out and this bunched the field.

At the restart on lap 15, Matt made a perfect restart and was able to settle back down and run great speed for the final lap dash to the flag, finishing half a second clear of second place Ammermueller, with Pereira in third.

The Australian national anthem rang out and the champagne flowed at the end of what could be Matt Campbell’s most important victory of his career so far.
