Nick Percat’s Brad Jones Racing Holden Commodore will feature McHitch backing for this weekend’s Townsville 400.

McHitch who have been supporting Richard Mork in the V8 Ute’s this year, will step up there backing to include both Mork’s and Percat’s cars this weekend.

Former racer, Joe McGinnes invented the McHitch coupling system after wearing out traditional tow balls and couplings in a single trip towing his own race trailer. McGinnes then had to retire from his own racing to keep up with the high demand for the McHitch equipment.

“It’s great to have a family, regional based business like McHitch supporting a family team like Brad Jones Racing. Many of our supporters have trailers, caravans and even race trailers, and they want hassle free, safe towing, so to showcase the McHitch brand to our fans is pretty cool.” said Nick Percat on the announcement of the one off deal.

“There’s nothing else out there in these colours so we’ll again stand out from the rest of the pack.”

“After our podium finish in Darwin, I’m very much looking forward to getting on track in Townsville. The team have had podium finishes there before and with our increasing momentum I feel like we are in a good position to continue scoring some strong results for the team.”

Joe McGinnes was also happy with the new deal “McHitch Uniglide Trailer Couplings is thrilled to be Naming Right Sponsor of the # 8 Nick Percat Supercar for the Townsville Watpac 400. It’s ironic that a racing car hobby towing an XW GT competing in the Biante Historic Touring Cars supports led to the development of the now successful McHitch system.”

“We look forward to being trackside at Townsville to support Nick and the team at BJR. We’re excited to see the #8 McHitch Commodore on track this weekend.”
