Freightliner will expand their support of Brad Jones Racing this weekend to include Nick Percat‘s No. 8 Commodore.

The truck company has been a key partner for Brad Jones Racing since 2014, however this is the first time that there will be two Freightliner Racing Commodores at a Supercars event.

Nick Percat will be looking to emulate the success of his teammate, Tim Slade, who won back to back races at Winton Raceway in 2016 driving the Freightliner Racing Commodore.

Percat said “Winton is a happy hunting ground for Brad Jones Racing. It would be a dream to get both of the Freightliner Racing Commodores on the podium this weekend. I know the team and I will be doing all we can to get up the front.”

“After the success Tim Slade had last year the guys and girls at Freightliner Racing are really excited to go back to their home track of Winton; as am I. The BJR cars have had some good results here in recent years and it would be good to continue that trend, especially after the run we’ve had so far this year!”

Freightliner Racing debuted a special one-off black and yellow livery for their family brand Alliance Truck Parts on Tim Slade’s car at Townsville last year, and will utilize the same contrasting colours at Winton this weekend.

Percat added “The Freightliner Racing Commodore looks awesome. It’s a different contrast to the matte black cars in the field and the pops of yellow and chrome will really make it stand out on track.”

Freightliner Director, Stephen Downes added “It’s great to reveal Nick’s car at the Hartwigs Freightliner Dealership in Albury. It’s even better that we can feature Freightliner on Nick’s car for the teams’ home event, the support the guys get here is really something else.”

“A lot of eyes will be on both Nick and Tim this weekend, especially after the success Tim had here last year.”

“Myself and the team at Freightliner hope both of the cars go well and it would be fantastic to see the guys on the podium. A few of our team members will be there cheering on Nick, Tim and all the crew this weekend.”

Supercars action kicks off this Friday at Winton Raceway. Keep tuned into Auto Action for all the latest across the weekend.
