Australian Scott Andrews has received a late call up to race at Monza this weekend with KEO Racing.

Building upon his experience from the 2016/17 Asian Le Mans Series, Andrews will be behind the wheel familiar LMP3 machinery for the first round the Michelin Le Mans Cup at Monza, Italy.

The Danish team will be using an almost identical car, a Nissan V8 powered Ligier JS P3 LMP3 Sport Prototype, to the one that Andrews used to post multiple fastest lap times and twice qualify on the front row for WINEurasia Racing in the Asian championship over the summer.

It’s experience that will be vital to KEO Racing, who make their debut in Le Mans style sports car racing after ten years in European Formula Renault Championship and the Danish Touring Car Championship.

“Big thanks to Kim Olsen (team manager for KEO Racing and Danish entrepreneur) for this opportunity. “Obviously it was last minute so there was a high level of cooperation via email and juggling time zones with phone calls to make it happen, as it normally is with racing overseas”.” said Andrews’ upon confirmation of the deal.

Scott went on to say, “”Monza is another new track for me, but I look forward to the challenge and getting back into a competitive LMP3 in a prestigious series. “Hopefully I can help my teammate get up to speed quickly and comfortably and we can have a great result!”.
