Supercars has put changes in place for Sunday’s Race 6 of the Championship Series, after a series of tyre failures on Saturday.

All competitors will be required to have a minimum of 19psi tyre pressures in the race, an increase of 2psi over the previous requirement.

There is also a recommendation that teams observe a maximum of three degrees negative camber on the rear and six degrees at the front. Auto Action understands that teams that suffered tyre failures in Saturday’s race were running more than that maximum.

Tyre pressures can be monitored in real time as part of Supercars’ technical package.

This afternoon’s 57-lap race is due to start at 1:50pm.
