Rick Kelly and Michael Caruso have revealed the Nissan Altimas that they will drive in this year’s Supercar Championship.

Caruso’s Altima will continue to run in the Nissan factory colours with Nissan’s traditional 23 and increased involvement from car care brand Autoglym.

After scoring Nissan’s second Supercars win last year, Caruso is looking to have a more consistent year and can see the opportunity to move up the field thanks to the new tyre.

“I feel that this is going to be one of the most competitive Supercars seasons on record,” he said.

“The new tyre regulations are going to test the teams. We could see a bunch of new winners in the opening rounds as everyone gets their head around the different compound.

“Nissan Motorsport is as prepared as we can be and I can’t wait to cut some laps on the new tyres at Sydney Motorsport Park.”

Kelly has also joined Caruso in revealing his car for 2017, which will continue to enjoy support from Sengled as Castrol joins the team, featuring prominently on the bonnet.

“It’s an exciting time to reveal the #15 Sengled Racing Nissan Altima,” said Kelly.

“I’m very excited to have Castrol on the front of my car for this year. It’s an iconic name in the automotive industry. I’ve had a long relationship with Castrol and that’s something I’m quite fond of. I won Bathurst in 2003 and 2004 with them onboard, so it’s a big deal to have them on the car with me.”

Kelly is excited for the season to start and can’t wait to get into the car for the test tomorrow.

“You get two or three months to think about the first round,” Kelly enthused.  “The anticipation builds and builds. It’s fantastic to reveal the livery on the car and now we just want to get in there and do the job.”

“It certainly feels the best prepared we’ve been. I think that’s why we’re so excited to hit the track.”
